Sabbath in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, China
For the Sabbaht today, we walked through the streets of Hong Kong then took the very efficient subway to the Ma family apartment for a Sabbath service with the Mas and two Filipino members who live and work in Hong Kong. David Baker and I split the time, each speaking for 45 minutes or so. It's fairly rare for these members to have visitors, so it was very enjoyable for all of us. Even such a simple things as singing hymns in a slightlly larger group is a very pleasant change.

This evening we enjoyed a delightful Chinese dinner with the Church members. I was a little rusty with my chopsticks but the technique came back pretty quickly. Both Dave I and learned to use chopstick when we lived and roomed together in northern Thailand as student volunteers, teaching in refugee camps in 1981. Like riding a bike; one never totally forgets.
