Storm Ali, a day at

Banavie, Scotland, United Kingdom
Storm Ali caused a power cut early this morn around 1am, someone’s security alarm went off after a flash of lightening followed closely with thunder, it woke us, we both thought it was in our grannyflat.  Over in 20mins.
Woke to awful weather, I had managed to get a hair appointment at 9.15am, close by and a good manageable cut. Left Kevin getting his breakfast and also left him the phone to photo the train if I wasn’t back in time.
Back in plenty of time. Stood in the rain, on the bridge and waited, it was worth it. We hope you like the video!
Ferries were cancelled and warnings were out to not travel unless necessary. The roads were pretty well flooded too. Rather disappointing as we had planned to go to follow the train to Glen Finnan, and also explore old Inverlochy Castle.
We did consider ourselves lucky that it wasn’t a transit day, as we had somewhere in warmth and comfort to hang out. No movie theatres here. Actually there is not a lot to do in Fort William, plenty within a radius of 50 miles or so.
