We said goodbye to home at 3 minutes past 6. My dear friend Heather had walked down to the highway to wave us goodbye. Both Heather and Peter had visited the night before to give us a hug and wish us safe travels.
We met our travelling mates at the first bend of the S Bend at Greenough. After hugs and best wishes for the festive season we were on the road. Not before Peter showed everyone our travelling friends!!! Nathaniel had brought this whistling wolf down from upstairs on Christmas Day. Peter had given it to me many years ago on a Valentine day. I thought he had lost his whistle. The wolf I mean. Not Peter! But amongst a few laughs on Christmas Day, Pete taught him to whistle again. So he has come with us to travel Oz, along with Clara the bear, who is wearing the Angel Travel Pin, that Wendy and Ray gave us.
Morning tea was at Badgie and lunch was under the gum trees at Goomalling. Not sure about the baby corella's overhead though! Coral was forced to move after a close shave with her lunch plate. Thank goodness! We arrived at Kellerberrin at 3.00pm and were quite impressed with the new Shire Caravan Park. Good value at $16.50 a night.
