Left Conabarabran on a chilly morning, which eventually became warm and then cold in the evening.

We were on our way to the Taronga Parks Western Plains Zoo, for our Zoofari Lodge experience.

Included in the package was entry to parks for two days including day of arrival. Overnight accomodation in a 5 star glamping suite, A Dusk tour to visit 4 animals, a morning tour, Dinner package (soft drink and coffee included) - beer and wines etc are extras and full cooked breakfast plus discounts in all gift shops and cafes

We arrived late morning. Entered the park and drove our own car around the park and visited many animals. 

By 3.30 we had checked into accommodation and went to our Glamp, sorry we destroyed the inside before we decided to take a photo, But take it from us it is spectacular.

That evening we did a behind the scenes tour of 4 animals, Giraffe, Lion, Black Rhino and Cheetah. The Lions were unimpressed as they did not get any treats. Linda even fed her favourite animal in the Giraffe

That evening we had an African inspired banquet. Entree was a Pork, Lamb, Beef African style sausage similar to a Chorizo, with Crocodile, Peach Chutney, Dragonfruit and grapes.

The mains - each serve was a little short of a meal for anyone but you share the three dishes, African spiced Tasmanian Salmon, Cold Duck Salad, and an African Lamb Stew with corn maize sweet potato mash, Sweets were Apple Rhubarb Crumble and a chocolate dish similar to panacotta. all washed down with the local Dubbo Black Rhino Dark ale and a glass of Merlot, Whilst Linda had a mocktail
