Hill End is a former gold mining town in New South Wales, Australia. The town is located in the Bathurst Regional Council local Government area.
What is now Hill End was originally a part of the Tambaroora area: Tambaroora town was a few kilometres to the north of present-day Hill End. In the 1850s the Hill End area was known as Bald Hills. In 1860 a village was proclaimed, first as Forbes, then in 1862 it was altered to Hill End. Tambaroora had been the larger centre; in 1865, it had seven public houses to Hill End's two. Following the discovery of rich gold reefs at Hawkins Hill (Hill End), in the early 1870s. Hill End overtook Tambaroora as the main town in the area.

The main reason for going to Bathurst was to do a lap of Mount Panorama. So much fun we did it twice

Skyline, then the road has gone and down into the Esses and Forest Elbow. How these V8 guys go around this road at the speeds they do, I have no idea how they do it they have more guts than I do. Admittedly they only have traffic going in one direction, but still

The Dubbo Zoo must have been fantastic. We remember our couple of laps of Mount Panorama - same reactions: wonderful but how they do it at speed we will never understand. Safe travels as you come south.

Great to see you on Pole Position with a Trailblazer, It is fun to go around the track and the view from the top fantastic. Yes you need guts to drive at the speeds they guys do during the race.
