Today was our last full day in Iceland :( Pixie got to sleep in while I went on a very long walk all around Reykjavik. Breakfast consisted of Icelandic creeps with traditional rhubarb jam and cream!! Super delicious!! Then we went to a 847+/- 2 settlement museum, which was nominated for the top museum in all of Europe. 10 years ago when building a parking garage they discovered a Viking longhouse underneath the ground. This museum has recreated how the Vikings live in this longhouse. It was an incredible museum that we both enjoyed very much! It had lots if hands on activities and Pixie learned how to write her name in ancient Icelandic runic!
Then we strolled down the shopping streets and stopped at cafés for coffee and treats. We even found this cool park with herbs planted all around it! We found parsley and oregano, and Pixie found a cool cable zip line through the park!!
It was such a relaxing day and a great way to end this wonderful trip but we're still not ready to leave Iceland!!
