Datça, Muğla, Turkey
Plan B worked.  We awoke to a clear sky (well, Phyllis was up briefly around 6 a.m. and thought she saw and heard rain, but it might have been a nightmare).  We took our picnic and some beer and some reading material and drove off to inspect the three separate little beaches that were said to exist on the south side of this peninsula.  The first was too developed (if you can call a town of maybe 1,000 developed) but the next one we found was perfect.  Craig did not get to swim, the water was still too cold, but we sat in the sun and thoroughly enjoyed our extra day here.  And, as a bonus, we got our laundry washed at the local laundromat for 10 Turkish lira (about $5.50).  A bargain at any price.  We are now ready to start back towards Istanbul with less than a week left on our Turkey adventure.
