Waves, Rain, and change of weather, and plans.
The second day today and the weather has changed dramatically
.
Yesterday it was a bright hot day, and today it is cloudy and it is pouring outside.
We are not sure if the weather is going to change by noon, and anxiously waiting for the weather forecast.
I have a feeling that what the guy said yesterday at the beach was true.

The weather forecast says that the whole week is going to be cloudy and we are having rain and low temperatures throughout Greece.
Unbelievable, because usually even if it rains in September the sun comes out again very soon.
Anyway I decided that this is not going to make me feel sad, because I love all kinds of weather
. I just wish that I had one or two days with sunshine to swim in the wonderful beaches I saw yesterday. But it is fine. The Island is very beautiful with much greenery and luxuriant vegetation.
The only negative is that I have no access to internet in the hotel as there is problem in the whole area, and we have to drive 8 kms to near by village (Skala Potamias) to read my e mails. We have found a very nice spot next to a beautiful sandy beach where I sit in the car and do my work on my laptop. From time to time I look out of the window, and what I see reminds me that it is September and we are still enjoying our holidays.
3rd day
The temperature is 15 degrees this morning, and we are not go to the beach.
It is not really cold, but it is not what I expected
.
We receive a nice basket of fruit from the director of the hotel we are staying, with two small bottles of whisky today. – I wished we were sent a bottle of wine instead!
We decided not to go out this afternoon, so we spent time in the hotel, relaxed a lot and had fun. Besides, it is autumn and most of the people have already returned home and back to their jobs. I consider myself lucky even if it rains today, as I am still enjoying my holidays in this beautiful island.
It is full of plane and pine trees. Pine trees go down to the coasts just next to the beach in this island.
Thasos is beautiful even if it rains!

I too was in thassos on the 7 September for my honeymoon, having been to thassos the previous july we were hoping for good weather, my sister and her boyfriend were there at the same time, oh my goodness, it rained almost every day apart from 2 days. No we couldnt sunbathe the majority of the time but we still had an amazing honeymoon, we love thassos and are off again in 2 weeks.
