The train is a couple hours journey from Edinburgh into the center of Glasgow. My hotel called Motel One is directly next to the train station so very convenient, even with bags to drag. The hotel is very nice with modern decor and friendly service. My room is comfortable for my final three nights of this vacation.
After settling in to my new digs, I head out to explore some of Glasgow. The city of Glasgow is quite big and kinda rough around the edges. I learn it is making a come-back. It is a contrast to Edinburgh. My walk takes me through the city up to the place where the Glasgow Cathedrale lies. I make it there before closing time. The cathedrale is amazing. It is also an Outlander filming location! Across the church yard and over a bridge is a hill with an amazing cemetery with stunning views over Glasgow.
For dinner, it's gin on the menu, quite literally. This gin bar is fantastic. There are yummy food side dishes to order as well. A first evening in Glasgow was wonderful.
