Farewell Europe ... 'til next time

Glasgow Airport, Scotland, United Kingdom
Day #38 - So this is my final morning in Europe. It’s been a lovely holiday in three stages. This last bit in Scotland today and yesterday has been a day of cool, rainy weather to cap off five weeks of avoiding the worst of two record-setting heat waves that blasted Europe with hotter than hades weather.
I’ve packed all my things in my bags so I head down for breakfast. I ventured out to the city streets to the grocery to buy some snacks for the all-day plane & train journey home. Here at Sainsbury I also grab some Scottish white cheddar to bring home for my cheese-crazed sister. Then I decide to return to my hotel for breakfast there rather than sit in a restaurant. At Motel One, the breakfast buffet is very good. I have my choice of many items to fix a nice morning meal. I opt for the Scottish porridge instead of yougurt this time along with a boiled egg, cheese and bread. The coffee and juice are also delish.
Now it’s time to grab my bags and drag them a couple blocks to the airport express bus stop. Lucky for me there is no rain falling right now so it’s an easy walk and then the bus arrives to take me to the airport terminal. Being a Sunday morning, there is little traffic and we are at the airport in no time.
