ON THE WAY TO COPENHAGEN

Copenhagen, Zealand, Denmark
At sea, Friday June 13. 2014

The sky is grey with an occasional break in the clouds. Since this is our last day on our cruise it doesn't really matter. What it really means is that we need to pack our bags, catch up with the blog and have the last hurrah at the buffets. Also, today is the one year birthday celebration of this ship. Yes, one year ago the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate, christened the Royal Princess. For this occasion, 3 bakers have worked for 2 weeks on the celebration cake, which is in the shape of the ship. Tonight will be the "Fiesta Grande" with champagne and cake at the 3 story high Piazza. This morning we said our goodbyes to our new Swiss friends, Jimmie and Jennifer. They are leaving the ship tomorrow at 6am in order to catch their flight to Zurich, which will get them home by noon. We are lucky if we get to our hotel in Copenhagen at that time. Also we will be staying in Copenhagen until Sunday. Of course our regular and traditional “Hop on Hop off” bus ride will be included in our stay in Copenhagen. Also, in that timeframe we hope to send this blog, this time with pictures, to your neck of the woods. With a stopover in Berlin and Miami we should be in Las Cruces by Tuesday afternoon. Anyway, that’s the plan, let’s hope it stays that way.

PS: Guess who we ran into at dinner time? Yep, we had dinner with our Swiss friends and said our second good-byes!

Also upon arrival in Copenhagen the sun was shining and the tour of the city was great.

The Royal Pruncess looks beautiful - fun to see your pictures. A fantastic cake - I'm sure it was yummy. Beautiful Russian Doll - but defintely not a stacker. --Did you buy a stacker for each grand baby? Those are fun!
Glad your having a great time - I'm sure a photo album will be next.
Fathers Day tomorrow - Family will be celebrating in Highlands Ranch.
Welcome back to the good ole USA. Barbara
