Tallinn, Estonia
Saturday, June 7. 2014 at sea.

At sea means: sleeping, eating, reading, being entertained and
repeat.

Observation: A Lady in a burka took a selfie.

Tallinn, Estonia, Sunday June 8. 2014

Too bad, we woke up to a rainy and cool day. However, that didn’t discourage us and by
shuttle bus we went to the city and explored on foot this ancient place. To walk in the old downtown you better leave your high heels at home, because as far the eye could see there were cobblestones everywhere. The place is a dream for fans of medieval times. There were narrow, romantic alleyways. Some of them with very steep steps to climb, which brought us to the top of Toompea Hill where we got to see the very impressive “Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, (Russian Orthodox). The view from there was beautiful, even though it was a cloudy day and it rained from time to time.  Around the large old town plaza are all
these gothic buildings. You feel like you are set back five or more centuries. This place is worth a trip just by itself… just fantastic.

Love these towns. So much character. Great blogs, Nelly and Jim. Congratulations. Hope to use them for reference in future plans. Thanks for the time and effort in the sharing.xx
