Scotland's Secret Bunker, Scotland, United Kingdom
After we left Dunfermline we stopped for a shop, we needed a cool bag, slickers & storage containers, store like our warehouse.
Parked at the sea/riverside in Kirkcaldy, toilets available, 30p! that was bad enough, what was worse - I only had a 50p coin, no change given, cost a $1 to go to the loo!
We had our lunch in the car - no picnic tables, had our coffee flasks and I’d made salmon bagels, looking out at the North Sea and two oil rigs, lots of tankers too. 2pm we left The esplanade.
Harvesting everywhere, dry and dusty work, big round and Big square bales. Today the temps varied from 13* - 21*, we were driving with the windows down. Quite a few wind turbines, saw one being serviced, the two men were abseiling, looked like little spiders hanging under it.
2.30pm The Secret Bunker. I’m still trying to get my head around this visit today. Hard to understand as to what was real & what wasn’t. If you are interested, the best overview I could find was this: https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/anstruther/secretbunker/index.html
As the receptionist said, it could hardly be kept a secret when a huge hole was being dug in the ground, but the Airforce used it for 2yrs, then it became very secret after that - were they a decoy? It was then manned from 1954 to 1994 when it was decommissioned and became public knowledge, we spent an hour and a half there - most of the time for me, was trying to understand.
4.15pm on to St Andrews.

Big round and square bales and man servicing the turbine would have been something different. You are covering a lot in a day.
