George W. Bush's Childhood Home

Midland, Texas, United States
Yesterday, we stopped over at the Van Horn RV Park after leaving Las Cruces.
Today, we arrived at the Midland RV Campground for one night.  Since we arrived and got set up early, we decided to tour George W. Bush's Childhood Home in Midland.  Before the last oil boom, we had stayed in the Midland area several times, but never got to tour his parent's house.
We were surprised to see that the house was modest, but comfortable for a family in Midland during the 1950's.  The interior and exterior of the house was restored in 2006 to the way it was when they lived there.  The furnishings are not original, but are period correct and as close to the originals as they could get based on family pictures.  If you are in the area, we encourage you to spend an hour or so checking it out to get a perspective of the early years of two of our Presidents and their family.
