Sunday morning we hung around the coach killing time since we only had a little over 100 miles to go to our next stop at Camp Timber Lake near Huntington, IN.
After an interesting drive on a couple of back roads, we finally arrived at the park - another issue with the GPS. It is a neat place that is a destination park as compared to a journey or overnight/short stay park. It sits in the trees and around a good sized lake that is stocked with fish and another small pond for swimming. They also have a two experience level zip line that is in the park with runs that cross the lake. We had a long pull thru, FHU site across the road from the lake, but the rains in May had eroded it so I had to use a lot of boards to get the backend of the coach high enough to get level.
Monday, we drove into Huntington and the Wally World to restock the pantry and refrigerator. After unloading the car and putting the groceries away, we drove into Roanoke and found the Two EE's Winery for some wine tasting. Their whites are mostly from Indiana fruit, but as we have learned that the reds cannot take the cold/wet climate, so with the exception of one red varietal, the fruit comes from California, but is produced and bottled there. The wines were not too bad, but... We ended up buying one of their whites and one of their reds (Cab).
