Sabah State Mosque

Wednesday, August 07, 2013
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia
A short walk across from the Sabah Museum complex was the Sabah State Mosque. Although outwardly it has traditional Arabic features, the interior used many modern architecture features.

The most striking unique feature was the large minaret whole base reaches down into a covered water garden.

The same group of Spaniards from my flight yesterday showed up in a tour bus. One guy had a giant camera with a foot long lens so I thought he was a very professional photographer.

I asked him to take a picture of me in front of the mosque so he proceeded to take a totally useless passport photo of my face ignoring the mosque behind me.

I manged to get a bus back into town for .70Rm (.23 cents)
