This morning we were going on a two day trip to Montreal to visit our brokers. In my two years with this company this is the first time they are sending me to Montreal or anywhere for that matter but dont get me started on that. My prior company would send us every year to Montreal for annual meetings but in February so not ideal weather for exploring.
We had a morning flight at 7.40am which meant I had to leave home by 6am. I took a cab to the Island Airport since I can expense it back on company business. Cab fare was $16 from where I live though I bike past here everyday.
I chose to sit on the right side as the planes take off westbound towards Hamilton then turn around and loop back to travel east to Montreal. I like to see my buildings on Humber Bay as we make the loop.
It is a short one hour flight to Montreal. Similarly to Toronto on descent it loops around Montreal Island. Sitting on the right side I had the northern Laval side on the descent not downtown Montreal. Next time I'll switch and sit on the left.
We had our first broker meeting close to the airport and a second broker meeting downtown for lunch before checking in by the afternoon. It was a nice hotel but out of my price range with $300/nite rooms.
