Historical Fort York in the King West and Bathurst district of Toronto is an overlooked historical site in downtown Toronto. It is the largest collection of 1812 buildings and tells the story of the War of 1812 when Americans attacked.
I used to live just overlooking the Fort before they built so many condos destroying the downtown and waterfront view.
They have built a new exhibition centre just outside the Fort which tells the story of the War of 1812.
The Fort has many buildings which show the contrast how the Soldiers and Officers lived.
As well there is a Military Museum housed in one of the buildings showing various uniforms and armaments.
