For my next trip I was going to Scotland. Last year when I was taking the train from Blackpool to Lancaster there were onward trains to Carlisle heading to Scotland so it remained a mystery departure I hadn't experienced nor have I ever been to Scotland.
Also several years back I was just nosing around on google maps and discovered all the hidden heritage on Orkney Island dating back from Stonehenge times. Later I've seen documentaries on BBC4 exploring these Neolithic sites and civilization.
I had to wait until July as the weather in Scotland is usually bad with rain , wind, and storms. Even now the forecast was showing only 12 degrees to 15 degrees and still with rolling rains.
Air Transat has direct daily flights to Glasgow, Westjet has daily flights to Edinburgh. I will not fly Westjet as they kicked a family off a plane when their 2 year old would not wear a facemask 3 years ago and they terminated staff over the same illogical mandates.
It was an overnight flight so not much to do except sleep. I thought Air Transat did not serve food so I brought my own but then they did bring a dinner service, so maybe it is only Cuba/Mexico flights that you have to purchase meals.
Also we had tvs when last time you had to download and install on your devices. Perhaps Europe flights are not no frills as the North American flights are.
