Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Scotland, United Kingdom
My morning in Stirling I had a rare chance to sleep in. This "hotel" was more of an "upscale hostel" with one shared bathroom/shower for the entire floor. I went early at 4am as not to have to wait for others. Last night was the UK Election so I was still watching results come in. It was interesting to see the regional parties for Northern Ireland and Wales as well as the Scottish Nationalist Party which was losing seats.
I left by 10am and took the 10.25am train to Glasgow as there is frequent regular service the closer I came to the main population hubs
It was a quick ride to Glasgow arriving at Queen St station at 11am. Orienting myself I was on George Square which is where the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce is located
You can enter the main lobby and admire the impressive architecture. Public is not allowed on any upper floors. It is a grand Victorian building showing the wealth from the height of the city
I also scouted out the Airport bus stop for my return having arrived from Glasgow Airport
Just north of the centre is Sighthill Stone Circle. This was in among a new housing development north of the motorway. It involved a lot of walking and it was still in the distance. I decided to give up as I still had my bags and I dont think this is authentic but some modern creation
