Halifax, Canada
East Coast Lobster Weekend.
We have the pleasure of our daughter and her family joining us on a direct flight from Calgary to Halifax. The A319 flight arrived at 0600 and needless to say we are all quite tired as for all of us it is still the middle of the night. Car seats need to be locked into the rental car, and the GPS needs to be programmed. The early morning rain is all we encounter on the has the traffic is very light. We arrive in Kingston which is some 2 hours from Halifax in the Annapolis Valley. We enjoyed a mid morning breakfast and the all crash for 3 hours to make up for the lost sleep. Our hosts home is in a beautiful location and they are just super hosts.
The next day we move on to visit lost friends near Digby. Their store is a real going concern and their home is even better. We meet up with their son at their golf course where he introduced us to his wonderful wife.
We visited one of the biggest catholic churches in Canada, had a nice scallop lunch and went on our way back to Halifax.
