The State Capital

Juneau, Alaska, United States
Our cruise through the inlets takes us to Juneau, the capital of Alaska. There are small high rise office buildings, old hotels and is one of the nicest cities you can find. It is tucked against the mountains and placed right on the sea. We go on a gold panning tour with our guide Grumpy who teaches us what a leverite is. We travel to a park where there is a salmon bake, country music and sour dough bread. Our lunch is interrupted by visiting black bears. Back to the ship where the float plains are still circling in the bay.
