A Campsite on Saturday at Cat Cheak
Rec site
Yes it is June and it is Saturday, but
this little Rec Site at the river still had several campsites available – and
we found a nice spot to set up – and then it’s time for supper after Paul
decided that the camper is a bit crooked and we had to straighten it out.
It rains on the Suspension bridge
After Supper we checked out the
campsite and walk down to the creek – which is actually more a big river – but
then we are in the middle of the snow melt – which is so extreme with the rain,
that highway 1 is actually closed because of possible flooding. The
Suspensionbridge was super cool and the fog over the river was looking amazing
– we did find the outhouse and then spend the rest of the evening in our camper
to avoid the rain.
A night of rain
It was pouring down rain last night –
good thing we were cozy in our RV (and that we have our toilet). This was the
reason we decided that we will sleep in and lucky for us, it did not rain when
we packed and left.
Alexander Falls
On the way towards the Olympic park is
this stop which is a total Paul style: you park and are 10m from the Viewing
platform – and those falls are amazing. What was even more amazing there was
still snow near the picnic tables!!! I thought this is a summer trip.
Nevertheless we decided to have
breakfast here before going on a long road trip today.
