Camping time again – this time we go north… the Elk Falls PP is our goal. So we arrive and actually find a spot with a river access and river view… so still in the forest but a nice spot to relax along the water … so we check out the campground enjoy the last few hours of warm at our campground

So if we are here then we will go to the falls… we already knew from last year when we came here with Kerni, that it is a roughly one hour walk along the river… and so we start out with the backpack, that we are prepared and that's what we came across:
- Some great river views
- We discovered the cycle of the salmon
- We learned about the different kind of salmon
- We saw some huge trees
- Walked across the Canyon Bridge at the john hart generating station
- Saw some huge leafed plants
- Saw some real big trees: some old growth Douglas firs

So when we came to the falls: sure first we went to the elk falls: the really big one… only a shame that you can’t go closer… then we walked along the edge – but then you are always careful, because it looked like it could get slippery if you are close by…
From there we walked along the river and came also to the moose falls and deer falls and we learned the larger the animal the larger the falls….
And we found a lot of cool spots to sit and relax – have a drink and picnic… only downside we have to walk all the way back again this time the other side of the Canyon trail with more great views on the river...

Ok after all this walking we deserve a nice coffee and relaxing at the river…

Nothing nicer than waking up to some sunshine and you can have the sun in your face… have coffee and read the newspaper in the sun…
It was nice here… I’m sure we are coming back…
