Miracle Beach PP - it July long weekend
It's our first July long weekend on the island – that means we should go camping, right? And the best way to celebrate is on the ocean and so we make our way to Miracle Beach PP.

Miracle Beach PP Camping Canadian Style
So one thing for sure: it is a little bit shady here… and not real wilderness, but we had a nice spot and as the occasion called for brought out our new Canadian Flags….
After setting up the campsite and having the first piece of Canada Cake… we check out the area and end up on the beach

Miracle Beach PP - high tide Tide in
So we heard how awesome Miracle Beach is and so we went excited to it and thought it looks like any other beach… view on the Mainland… driftwood… ok so we had to wait for the next day to discover:

Miracle Beach PP - endless sand The sandy miracle of the Beach
Being here the evening before, I couldn’t believe my eyes: sand – sand and more sand… and endless wide sandy beach in front of us: good thing we brought our air mattresses and so we could walk out and find a spot in the middle of the sandy landscape

Miracle Beach PP - sand dollars Discovering the little wonders of Miracle Beach
And after lying down a little and getting nice and warm it is time to check out the beach: and so Gine finds:
  • The Sand dollar: which looks so super cool – half buried in the sand with a flower on one side and a little hole…: even I learned the nice white once we find are skeletons - if they are alive they are black
The legend of the Sand dollar - That I would like to tell
Of the birth and death of Jesus Christ - Found in this lowly shell.
If you will examine closely - You'll see that you find here
Four nail holes and a fifth one - Made by a Roman's spear.
On one side the Easter Lily - It's center is the star
That appeared unto the shepherds - And led them from afar.
The Christmas Poinsettia - Etched on the other side
Reminds us of His birthday - Our joyous Christmas tide.
Now break the center open - And here you will release
The five white doves awaiting - To spread good will and peace.
This simple little symbol - Christ left for you and me.
To help to spread His Message - Through all eternity.

  • The shells
  • The sea gulls
  • The fine sand every where
Overall another discovery: swimming is not very good – because it is nearly a hike to the water

Miracle Beach PP - time to move The tide comes in
Sure we already know that the tide comes in and we saw it last night… but then when you are new to the ocean as we are: you do not expect that the tide comes in that fast…. One minute you are on the dry land and the next minute your air mattress floats and your towel is wet….
But then we also learn this is the time when you go for a swim: the water is warm coming in over the hot sand…

Miracle Beach PP - sunset on the beach Evening at the beach
Another nice discovery: bring your book and sit on the driftwood and read on the beach – or you look and enjoy the view...

So Happy Canada Day!!
