Got up and walked through the rain to the Apple Store to exchange or fix my broken iPod. Next problem. No repair possible. They can exchange it under the warranty. But unlike in the US or Europe you have to wait 3 days for the delivery. WTF! Why could Apple Australia not tell me when i called them that i had to wait 3 days in Singapore for a replacement? I could have booked my flight accordingly. It's bullshit anyway! Now i only have 24 hours. After some heated discussion they agreed to make it happen somehow. Well, will see. My old iPod i had to leave with them. Also, no one could reasonably explain to me what happens to all the data on those returned iPods. Damn Apple update!
Then i strolled through town and went to the Asia Civilizations Museum. What an incredible exhibition! Well worth it! Late in the afternoon i went to see the spectacular new Marina Sands Hotel. Quite an amazing sight and attraction! Will go there tomorrow. And had a TigerBeer at the Long Bar of the historic Raffles Hotel. After dinner i saw the forgettable Oliver Stone movie "Savages".

Ging am regnerischen Morgen zum Apple Store um meinen kaputten iPod reparieren oder austauschen zu lassen. Keine Reparatur moeglich. Sie koennen es kostenlos austauschen. Aber nicht wie in den USA oder in Europa sofort sondern erst in 3 Tagen! Zum kotzen! Warum konnte mir Apple Australien nicht am Telefon sagen, dass ich in Singapur 3 Tage warten muss bis ich einen Neuen bekomme? Dann haette ich meinen Flug danach buchen koennen. Jetzt habe ich nur 24 Stunden. Nach einer etwas hitzigen Diskussion versprachen sie mir den Austausch bis morgen Abend kurz vor Ladenschluss. Na mal sehen... Meinen alten iPod musste ich abgeben. Was aus all den Daten darauf wird konnte mir auch niemand schluessig erklaeren. Verdammtes Apple update!
Danach spazierte ich durch die Stadt und ging ins Asia Civilizations Museum. Eine einmalige Ausstellung! Total einen Besuch wert. Am spaeten Nachmittag schaute ich mir das neue spektakulaere Marina Sands Hotel an. Morgen gehe ich dort hoch. Hatte ein TigerBier im historischen Raffles Hotel an der Long Bar. Nach dem Abendessen sah ich noch Oliver Stone's mittlemaessigen Film "Savages".
