Collecting tide-wrack has been a focus. The desire for a 'treasure' was possibly optimistic given that the majority of tide-wrack has been the industrial debris of man and the remains of animal demise! Rusted metal and all that is plastic and synthetic! Marine blue, orange and yellow. Driftwood has provided the occasional delight.

Talisker Beach - perhaps the most challenging! Vast in sheer size and shocking in the the quantity of debris . Billions of black pebbles, large and small - choked with tide-wrack.

The pleasure has been in walking along ever- changing shorelines and the Minch we look out onto has been the most visited. We fossick here often!

The sea refreshes daily - washing up animal corpses and small assorted objects that become myths or metaphors.

And the mood of the Minch has been reflected in the myriad of extremely beautiful skies above.
