Esperance, Our WA Swan Song

Castletown, Western Australia, Australia
7th - 8th March 2016

The year is already rolling by and still we aimlessly and erratically wandering the WA coastline as the allure of endless pristine beaches, rugged headlands and lack of population is just strong. Already, as we are now back in Esperance to provision for the Nullabor, there is a sadness and sense of loss with the imminent prospect of crossing the border to South Australia as we head east. For us Cape Arid was a detour, a dalliance as we always needed to return to Esperance, there being no suitable roads towards SA apart from the Esperance - Norseman road to the north.

Resupplied with beer, cider, wine and Whiskey (you may note that life's essentials come first), pantry, fridge and freezer filled and allowed to come down to temperature whilst we have power, water tanks topped up, full tanks of diesel, tyre pressures up, windscreen cleaned, petrol for the generator, visit Repco and Bunnings, a few odd maintenance jobs done....it is a busy couple of days!

In addition we spent several hours at the Esperance library, who graciously provide very fast WiFi free of charge, catching up on communications and conducting some business. Thank you WA, the time of our lives, till next we visit!
