Mandurah Revisited!

12th - 16th December

Almost like coming home, Mandurah just feels like that . Staying on the south side of the river at the Miami Caravan Park, we score a site overlooking Peel Inlet, quite a vast shallow body of saltwater. It's a great spot, and the park is really quiet so that we only have the occasional neighbours! A boardwalk along the shoreline stretches for many kilometres ensuring that Evi can drag poor Roscoe on extended pleasant walks.

Most of our time is now taken up with preparations for our trip back to the Gold Coast for Christmas...Patrol and Lotus Inn washed and polished inside and out. Gear taken out, cleaned and repacked and the roof rack emptied. Mind, there is still time to have a lunch or two, especially in the CBD overlooking the river.

One evening we have a wonderful night with friends, a couple we met on the Odyssey Cruise who live on the canals of Mandurah. Possibly the drive home was a small risk, we shall be more responsible next time.

Finally, the day arrives and we take the Patrol and Lotus Inn to the caravan repairer who will do some work for us and look after the rig till we return. Happy Festive Season to All.
