Elenka and I were greeted at the Luzern train station by Andreas and Renatka Schönbach of Germany, after our five and a half hour train ride from Lyon. And just like Lyon, our new two bedroom apartment in the altstadt (German for old town), is where another abundance of beautiful European architecture stands. When we are out walking the streets, I spend most of my time gawking at buildings. Elenka has to tie a leash to my belt so I don’t walk into oncoming traffic. If I’d have been born in an altstadt, or whatever the Spaniards, Italians or Scandinavians call their old towns, I would never have left Europe.
.
This morning we took a bus to the base of Mount Pilatus. From there it’s a 40 minute cablecar ride to the mountain peak. To see Heaven on earth feast your eyes upon Elenka’s Pilatus and Luzern
.
The first group of photos are of Pilatus. Following that is Luzern.

I can see it now, leash and all. Maybe try a stroller next time, lol. 40 mins cable ride, no wonder you ended up above the clouds. Such magical views. Ellen,I love seeing what you see when you look through your lens. 🪄
