Saguenay Fjord

La Baie, Canada
We awake cruising eastward on the St. Lawrence and will soon enter the Saguenay Fjord. The town of Tadoussac is at the entrance of the Fjord. The small ferry is seen leaving its northern port laden with cars and people as we enter the Fjord. The fall colours are vibrant, the geography amazing. We pass small beluga whales and pass under huge strands of hydro electric lines. Our trip will take us some 70 km up the fjord toward the Saguenay River however we stop to view the Lady of the Fjord perched upon Cape Trinity in Eternity Bay. We get the story of the 30 foot high statue as the ship plays Ava Maria. What a great way to spend the day.
