Parksville Paradise Fun – May 25 – 27, 2015
 

The Transmission leaks
Our first camping trip comes up, after a few weeks of sunshine finally we are ready…. So we book in Parksville along the ocean… and on Sunday evening Gina's comes home to get told by Paul: our Motorhome leaks transmission fluid… I have to call Bruce. So big question can we go???
 

 And we still go
So 8 am Monday morning… Bruce agrees Paul can come right away and get it hopefully fixed on time. So during Gine makes everything ready she gets a phone call… they need the transmission fluid from the garage… luckily the scooter is behind the truck so Gine has to move it first away too…

But then at 10.45 am – all is fine: the transmission doesn’t leak anymore – Paul discovered that it had the wrong bolt, all is packed in the motorhome, and the bikes are up, all checked in the house and we are actually on our way. 

 
 Paradise Fun RV Park
Going down the highway with yellow and blue colors along and we can’t miss the big shoe and the Paradise Fun… and I think we have the best camp site: we out of the window is the ocean!!!

And we can check all out, since its full hookup – Paul especially is happy with checking that the TV still works… And we use the first time our yellow level blocks.

 
 A Walk in the sand
Ok it is a little bit cloudy but that doesn’t mean we can’t put on shorts, put on flip flops and have a walk down to the beach and go on the sand all the way down to the community park… so maybe we don’t walk all the 19 km they say they have in sandy beach here… but long enough that we need a coffee

 
 Mini golf with the pirates
The sun is out – so it’s time for fun, we play Mini golf: Even Paul was the overall winner – Gine got a one-shot in on the pirate’s boat. Overall we had a lot of fun, because of the supercool set up mini golf course.

 
 Clouds in the morning and sun in the afternoon
Both days it started out with a thick cloud cover and then suddenly around 1 pm the clouds go and a blue sky (with not one little cloud in it) for the rest of the day… we feel like in July not like in May. So the afternoons we relax in our lawn chairs and soak up the sun… which we actually do until the last sun rays goes even if we have to move our chairs.

 
 A bike tour Paul’s way
Today the plan was to go for a bike ride… after Paul used his new little machine the tires are hard and we are ready… and instead riding towards nature we started our bike tour in Paul’s way: that means from one car dealer to the next… and instead of admiring nature we admire the brand-new 2015 Mustang … found a cool corvette and also a V12 Mercedes… we would take either one of them. 

 
 Top Bridge Regional Park
we decided going the Trail one way and back the road the other way… that was the plan until we went underneath the railway and highway 19… because then the bike path became a up and down steps… you wonder why they call it biking: I mean at least they already said to push the bike… how else… so we decided the bikes stay and we walk the rest to the bridge: which is maybe not a good biking path but a very cute walk along the river underneath big rocks – around big trees and with lots of bridges and steps…

Which was very cool and one day we should come back here and enjoy a whole day in this park underneath the bridge on the cool stones.

On the way in Paul said "will you remember every turn we took and find the way back" and Gine said not necessary we won’t come back here… so much for not remembering… but then we came back to the road and found our way out.

 
 Sun and Sand
So back right for coffee with some extra treat thanks to QF… and after sitting a little bit and soaking up the sand we decided it’s time for the sand… so we went down to the beach and walked over sand into amazingly warm water… summer we love it!!!

 
 Luxury Camping
Did I mention that we have cable TV and Wi-Fi… so sitting in front of the computer with the TV on… is part of our luxury Camping – and Paul loves it.

 
 A Sunny morning
It’s our last day and we have sunshine waking us up… so we could do what we dreamed of doing: having our coffee sitting in the sunshine and watching the water.
