Ralph River – July 16-19, 2013

Since we discovered this wonderful remote campsite – I think we are hooked!! It's like in the wilderness and you have a paved road – thanks to mining.
As lucky as we are, we got a wonderful lake view campsite… so Paul is happy, because that is part of his fun

And we had to check out where the river actually goes into the lake… walk a little along as much as possible…

To explore some more of the lake – today we cross to the other side and paddle along the shore line until we find a cool spot with some big tree stumps… perfect to stop and explore around and swim in the water.

A German song "and then in the evenings around the camp fire…" we love the fire and stare into the flames and coals and even better we love to cook over the fire.

So we don’t have real sunset view from the campsite… but that’s why camping is also exercising… so every once in a while we have to run down to the lake and admire the colors… the lake and the cloud and today also with a lot of Canada geese….

Mostly when we are here its nice and sunny – so today it was great to see the mountains in the clouds. And what do on a rainy day: let’s put on our red rain jackets (that gives some color in the pictures) and walk in the rain forest here… between the big trees…
After the excursion we even met some deer’s right at our campsite

And we walk along the lake to discover maybe something new… or only enjoying the nice walk there… or take the time to sit and enjoy the wonderful beach – or to discover the perfect spot to go in the water for a swim? We did discover the best swimming spot

Since it was so cool to explore the other side of the lake we decide to do it again and to check out a different area… and we did and found a huge tree fallen in the water… it is so much fun to check all out and then we even discovered some waterfalls high up in the mountain – looks like too steep and wild to go there.

Paul looks like a mountain man (I think he forgot to shaveJ) and also it is time to pack everything up and go home…
I think we have to come back soon it is too nice here.
