Cowichan Lake II - in the sun

And then after super: you could see more and more blue sky…. So Gine went down to the floating dock and see there: the sun is out and right there… and because it is so wonderful, we all had to go down there to see the last sunrays and lie or sit on the wooden deck: finally we have sun – that's how it should have been from the beginning: because life is better on the lake (if it is with sunshine)

Waking up to sunshine… you can’t stay in the bed past 7 o’clock… and when you go down to the lake: the water is like a mirror – it is amazing, wonderful, mind-blowing… it is simply a great start to the day… even better than coffee as per Gine – as per Paul: it is not better than the bed… but then he didn’t know what he missed right?

Our first stop today was at the Lily Beach Park, the plan was to walk along the river… except there was no water in the riverbed and then we ended up on this super cute little beach with a nice view up and down the lake… another beautiful spot

Today we wanted to spend the time here: so after finding a nice parking spot… we are on the sandy beach with our air mattress and it didn’t take long to that we were in the nice warm water of the lake… swimming out to the logs… standing on the logs and falling in … or relaxing on the air mattress… between coming back to the shore and soak up some Vit D … having coffee on the beach…

1) In the distance we could see that point and the island… sure Gine has to check it out: Michelle all for it went along… so first we found some nice rock outcrops with a nice view but not the trail… then on along the trail up on the first little hill with an incredible view… going up and down steps and then we are at the point, from the stones you had an awesome view on the islands of shore, and sure we can’t only look.. So we tried to figure out a way over... it went well on the frist to rocky outlets... but not for Michelle who didn’t like the murky grounds… over to the island the water was deep enough to get totally wet, so why not swim back…
Back Gine had to swim out to Paul floating on the lake and convince him how awesome it is and so we went again:

2) After the nice viewpoint we ended up again at the point and walked over to the rocky little islands… sitting and enjoying the beautiful view… and if you ever got tired of it, then you move a few feet over to the next comfy spot and enjoy again… all I can say: this is one incredible spot

Since there was shade on the beach... why stay here, when we have the floating dock to jump in – and Tim went along and jumped in too… and since it was so great Gine had to do it again and because all good things are 3: another jump was on order.

What is nicer than sitting and overlooking the lake when the sun goes down… see the colors sparkle in the water – so with the chairs and books we went down to the lake – but reading didn’t go far with all that nice view in front of us…
After such a great day we were bone tired and ready for bed early

And another wonderful sunny morning welcomed us – it was hard to say good bye to the lake and go home…

And as always even driving home is wonderful, because we live in such a beautiful place – we are so lucky to live here
