Fun May 12-13/2017
Our new RV
So last year we sold our old Majestic RV and then as a Christimas
present we found in December the RV we were looking for in Campbell River – so
our original Plan in flying to the USA and pick one up… got cancelled. So the
whole winter we always had a quick check on this beautiful Coachman
Freelander….
And with that in mind… Camping season can’t come fast enough. So the
plan was to go camping this weekend in sunshine… as it rained on Thursday, we
decided it’s a no go… then the sun came out in the afternoon – ok maybe
tomorrow… and it looked kind of ok, so we said: Let’s go… then we can checkk
out if everything works, what we need…
Let it rain….
So already on the Highway we had sunny stretches and guess what
downpour rainy stretches… at least it did not rain when we arrived and we could
hook up the electricity and water: that is when we discovered something is not
working correctly since the water comes out underneath: ok we found this cool
sytem to drain water. And next surprise: we have no sewer house… guess we need
to bring one, next time!!
We have a nice TV – but no TV cable… so we go for a walk to Salvation
army, but no Cable reception… but we do have internet.
It’s Paul’s birthday
Happy 66th birthday – so the stove works and we have nice
coffee and birthday cake with ocean view from our wonderful new sitting area….
Because it is raining outside
Who’s the big Winner?
It stops raining, so we decide it is time for a round of Minigolf… and
as the best player on the first hole: Gine get’s it in with one shot – wow!!!!
And even better at one of the holes we both get it in with one shot… but since
it’s Paul’s birthday Gine let him win J…. It was a lot of fun,
we like this Minigolf place…
Who has the best
supper in town?
We decided it is Lefty’s and so we went there for a real super nice
supper and we really liked it a whole lot…
Meeting other RV’s
Earlier we met other RV’s – and so we visit the couple in the
Winnebago… which is quite a bit longer than ours and I think ours is nicer J…. And we / they
talk forever…. So it is nearly bedtime when we are back – but we could see the
water coming in and the sun sparkling over the ocean
Good Morning Sunshine
we wake up to rain… and then during we had our coffee (inside) the sun
came out and we had a supernice and warm breakfast in the sun… maybe we will
have a nice day ahead.
But why make a decision right now… so we visited the Pie factory and
then it went on to the
Parksville Beach walk
This community park always amazes me, because it is so complicated to
find your way around… but we find some nice parking and then Paul relaxes in
the windy sun and Gine checks out the Beach… Afterwards Paul checks out the
Generator (it works!!) and Gine relaxes in the sun…
Dark clouds are ahead
…
Black clouds in the sky … rain in the weather forecast.. time to go
home and we bring home a long list on what we should do…
