And we’re off! We had an easy trip across the M62 to Hull, our preferred route to cross to mainland Europe as its only 2.5 hrs and an overnight boat – board, have a drink and a meal, listen to a bit of music, go to bed and wake up in Holland. 

 

We passed the impressive Humber Bridge & a large sculpture of an oystercatcher before boarding the boat.  We’re on the Pride of Rotterdam to exactly where it says! Very impressed at leaving 49 mins early as everyone had boarded, so we toasted that event with a beer on the top deck in the sunshine. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant then went off to listen to the music in the Piano Bar and so to sleep. Farewell England.
