Well, all that bragging about temperatures has come back to bite me - we've had incessant rain all day! Its not cold though (around 15deg), just extremely wetting. 

We went into Rosenheim, the nearest sizeable town as R wanted a multimeter to test wires & things. I asked for it in my rehearsed phrase & knew I'd done well when she answered me in German   It rather spoiled my triumph though when I had to follow it up with "Ich spreche kein Deutsch," (I do not speak German) as I couldn't understand a word of her reply! 

I tried my German again when we went to a roadside stall to get some lunch, & with a mixture of (probably badly-pronounced) words & gestures, we managed to buy some hot dogs - "currywurst" was a sausage sprinkled with curry powder. 

After a driveabout looking at pretty painted houses locally we then returned to the van for eating, drinking & reading - a wet but restful day after 2 days of travelling.
