Off to the Dalmatian coast

Drage, Zadarska županija, Croatia
Its hotting up nicely - 27.5 deg today but with a tiny breeze so it felt wonderful. We left the mountains today (although we did see quite a few on the way) and headed coastwards as I had a yen to see the Adriatic. After a very smooth & easy journey down the autocesta, we negotiated some minor (but perfectly fine) roads round a lake towards the sea.
The site we were heading for is called Oaza Mira, at Drage between Zadar & Sibenik and our pitch is about 60m from the sea. Its quite terraced so we can actually see the sea from our pitch, but we're shaded by many trees and its absolutely beautiful.
For the caravanners amongst you, we're on hard standing of small bits of rock variety, and on a huge pitch with water & electrics so no more fetching canfuls from up the hill. R says hooray! The pitch is so big (standard round here) that we have caravan with 2.50m awning & the car, & could park at least 3 more cars.
The facilities are excellent, albeit up 20 steps which is a bit of a challenge in the heat; they are based on concentric circles with the outer one housing toilets and washbasins, and the inner one has the showers. Each cubicle needs wrist band for entry, and it also works on the access barrier and the gate to the beach. There is also a snack bar down at the beach with a great view over the bay.
The site is only half full, the wifi is free, the sea is calm & a beautiful shade of turquoise and there's a little promenade path round to the village which has bistros - all this for €19 a night. It would be perfect except for the fact that the pool and shop are not yet open for the season, but then again who needs a pool when the sea is on your doorstep?
