After a late lunch of pizza, well ham and cheese on a bread base.

It was a there and back 6 km walk before darkness set in at 6 pm with not much time for those who wanted a cold yet refreshing swim at the Poza del Venado pool, 500 metres below the 32 metre El Rochio waterfall on the Rio Melodioso (Melodic River). As I didn't want a swim, left with the first group and came back along the lesser use track on the other side of the river.

Chicken dinner on Casa la Gallega hacienda deck at 8 pm with the added attraction of 2 chickens sitting up in a tree, dogs barking away and cats wandering around expecting some titbits. Hope that the dogs will quieten afterwards. Thankfully they did.

All meals today were included in the tour cost so all it cost me was a refreshing Cristal beer which quickly become my beer of choice on this trip CUC$2 / US$2 / NZ3.
