Karrinyup Waters Resort! Near North Beach, about 20klm north of the Perth CBD. Karrinyup, where do the Sandgropers get these names? A caravan park in the suburbs, but it does surprise us as we drive through to our allotted site we find the park sits around a small , roundish lake full of swans, ducks and other copious bird life! This is only an overnight ear for us but so impressed are we that a short stay here on our return in 6 weeks is almost a given.

The choice of park was Evi's as it is closest to the very large Joondalup Shopping Centre which is where she has discovered "we" can buy some Turkish Cotton beach towels, something of a necessity ....apparently! All is not lost, after hunting down the elusive, and now endangered towels, Roscoe takes us on a "shortcut" via the beaches on the way back to Karrinyup which turns out to be a beautiful and rugged coastline, sadly not a good surf area!

We hit the shops at opening, so, now back at the Lotus we still have an hour before we would have to commit to another night....off we go!
