The Royal Olympic Athens hotel -Interior

Athens, Attica, Greece
Elegance, Style, Glamour and Luxury!
The beautiful and luxurious hotel we are staying is just stunning that a few minutes after I take the photos in our room I am out to see everything .
It is unbelievably beautiful with breathtaking views of the area around.
The Acropolis on one side, the Temple of Zeaus opposite the Hotel and the Lycabettus Hill much behind. What an excellent location!
Of course as it gets dark and the lights are lit up one after the other the whole picture changes. Everything seems different and even more beautiful.
For more than an hour I lie in bed with my eyes open as I don't want to miss the unbelievable beauty. The windows have suddenly turned into a live piece of art, -a painting that changes depending on the moment.
The swimming pool area was closed but the staff gladly opened the entrance for me for some pictures .
I only want to state that it is so elegant and very impressively decorated and I urge people who are planning visiting Athens to stay at least 2 nights here if they cannot afford to stay longer.
I won't give more info as I believe my pictures can tell everything.
The Statue of Iniochos:
The statue upon entering the premises is Iniochos, one of the best known ancient Greek statues and one of the best preserved examples of classical bronze cast. It is the sculpture of a driver of a chariot race at the moment when he presents his chariot and horses to the spectators in recognition of his victory; he stands with admirable modesty and faces the crowd in total control of his emotions, a token of civilization in Classical Greece.
Iniochos was originally part of a complex of statues that included four horses and a chariot. With the exception of his missing left arm, the bronze statue is preserved in a remarkable state at the Museum of Delphi.
Enjoy the tour through my pictures! You can add your comments below of course.

WOW, looks very nice, I guess shorts, tee shirts and flip flops arent the dress of the day here :-)

Most of the people were smartly dressed at the Roof Garden Restaurant for dinner.

Goodness, what a wonderful hotel. You look perfectly in place there. Perhaps you should move in. I'm still waiting to see the view from your bedroom.

The first thing I do upon reaching to a hotel is going out trying to discover everything. Otherwise I don't beel comfortable. I had give Yianni a tour much later so this is why you see me so comfortably smiling and posing with assurance.

Hah, I usually sling me bag on the bed, let the missus sort that, then I grab me camera and see what the place has to offer, find the barman, the bloke who does the rooms, the gardeners, anyone really who works in the background, really, introduce myself, try and get them on your side, AND greet them by their name, it goes a long way and makes them feel they are appreciated, works for me :-)

I do exactly the same, and I also do it when I am out. I talk to people share tips with tourists and try to help them as much as I can because I want them to leave Greece happy and with the best impresions. At least from the people! Wait until you see photos in a coming entry about the nice couple I came across at the Temple of Zeus from Argentina when I went to see the ruins and take some photos...the best tour is yet to come....lol
