MURALTO SUIT APARTMENTS
This hotel is conveniently located very near the underground station.
It is just a few minutes walk from Madrid's sites and very near the Hop on Hop Off tourist Buses. (stayed 3 nights August 22nd - 25th, 2009)
We are given a room on the first floor although I asked for an upper room, but the girl at the reception informed me that the director of the hotel suggested that I get this because it is much quieter and besides on the upper floors it might smell. (???)
Anyway, I got the key and because our stay would be for just 3 nights I decided to see it first and then make comments. The girl suggested that if we don’t like it, we could have it changed the next morning.
Well, indeed it was a nice room, But….. no view at all.
What matters to me though, is that I can have a free internet access and it does not matter much having no view at all as we are out most of the time.
So, it is no need to change.
Our room is huge indeed, with a small kitchen and refrigerator.
Luckily I got my small electric teapot along because although there is a kitchen, there is not a teapot or a pan to boil some water and make tea or coffee, even though there are a couple of cups in the cupboard.
The bathroom is separated from the toilet, but there is more light in the toilet than in the bathroom where the mirror is.
There is a big round table with chairs, and a big armchair in the room as well as a TV set.
The hotel is clean, and we have our towels changed daily.
Breakfast is a buffet and it is satisfactory. Cerials, croissants, jam, cakes, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, and different kinds of coffee or tea.
The staff helpful, especially the lady at the reception who welcomed us the first night we arrived, -but whose name I did not take. She was ready to help, and give us tips for the round area when asked.
Just a few metres from the hotel there is a big El Corte Inglese store, and a few meters further there is a big store of Zara. There are other smaller shops and stores in the area.
I would come back again to this hotel if I have the chance, and I can recommend it to friends and members of TravelPod.
