COMFORT HOTEL FINCHLEY

I have booked it for just 2 nights because I wanted to be near our friends' house.
AND REGRETTED IT!
Although it is a modern building and the rooms are quite spacious, yet there is one great disadvantage in this hotel.
The ceiling is very low, and you can hear the people walking on the upper floor as if they are walking in your room. The walls are not made of brick, and it seems that you can have no privacy at all. There was a child or children jumping the whole afternoon on the upper rooms, and it was horrible.
The corridors are very narrow, and although they are covered by carpet, you can hear your paces as if the floor is going to crack and open.
We got to the hotel after 6pm and we just needed some sleep and rest as we had a trip and we did not sleep enough the previous night. There was so much noise in the upper rooms that we pleaded for help. I asked the receptionist to call them and although he said he would, I don’t know how much they listened to him. I wanted to leave the hotel and ignore the money I paid.
There was no air conditioning in the rooms, and the room had a wall to wall carpet. It was quite hot during the day –August. We tried to open one of the windows but it can only open 20 centimeters not more. It was very uncomfortable knowing that there was not much clean air coming in the room.
Breakfast was normal. It is a kind of self service, but with adequate variety.
Staff helpful, but most of the times you get the wrong directions from them.
In the round area there is a restaurant selling coffee and snacks, and a bit further there is a golf club.
I would never go to this hotel again even if I was given the room for free. I would recommend it just to those who have to make a stop in the area but not for anyone who visits London for a holiday.
