Value for Money, Excellent Tastes, Top Service!
Considering myself a very demanding foodie, before going to Czestochowa I did a bit of searching . How could it be otherwise! With my professional experience after all these years of searching out for the best I made U Braci my first choice. I was here in the capacity of a Food Critic after reading several reviews out of the first 4 ranking restaurants and judged that it stands out by far based on my demands.
LOCATION: Centrally located very close to Jasna Gora.
ATMOSPHERE: Simplicity in general, cozy and inviting interior that creates the ideal atmosphere for a relaxing and memorable outing. The restaurant is not that big but customers and groups of friends kept coming in till late when we left.
SERVICE: Paulina and Alicia were both efficient, extremely friendly and discreet at the same time. Great work girls….keep smiling and make your guests feel comfortable!
MENU: Mediterranean –Italian dishes! Expect heaping antipasti platters, chewy pizzas sized for two, and several tender cuts of meat . The menu includes several vegetarian options especially the beetroot soup with ravioli.
STARTERS: We had two kinds of Bruschetta.
The Tomatoes, Mozzarella and Pesto the first option and the Goat Cheese and Red Onion Marmalade. Both retained a chunky texture and were rich in flavour and taste.
SALAD: Our exquisite Mixed Salad with marinated Chicken, fresh and dried tomatoes, olives, rucola, onions and parmesan cheese was freshly cut and topped with lemon mustard sauce. So refreshing and super yummy!
MAIN COURSE: We had a scrumptious dish of Duck Fillet (sous vide) with parmesan gnocchi and caramelised apple in the most flavoursome and mouth watering cherry sauce. Nice presentation, succulent pieces of duck cooked to perfection. The cherry sauce was so exceptional that I requested to see the Chef and congratulate him for this outstanding dish and fantastic sauce .
CHEF:
Adam Bielowicki is the head Chef, young and talented with much passion not only for his creations but his garden too. Through our chat I was urged to follow him to the back garden. Their growth is organic and I was truly impressed with the number of herbs, fruit and veggies I came across.
The Saltinbocca (beef & potatoes) a traditional Italian dish and the Spaghetti Carbonara are two outstanding dishes not to be missed.
BEVERAGE: We accompanied starters with the popular Polish Draft Zywiec Beer, and our main courses with a great red wine which was recommended to us.
DESSERT: We finished our dinner outing with an exceptional Lemon Tart with whipped cream as a lighter option, although we were advised for the end to finish with their ambrosial crème brûlée. Perhaps when back another time!
IN ALL: We enjoyed our outing since my choice turned to be excellent . Everything we had was fresh and tasty. Quality, Tastes, Service and ambience come together to fulfil every guest's desire for a tasty meal flavoured with that distinctive sizzle and aroma. Highly recommended!
