Olsztyn, Lake District, Poland

Second stop:

In short distance and leaving behind the Olszty city with its 14th century Castle, we get off to the Twardowski Gate, located in a picturesque area of the Wiercica river valley, a few miles from Złoty Potok .

The Twardowski Gate:

A short pleasant uphill on foot towards the 4 metre high rock, considered to be one of the most beautiful rocky outcrops of the Kraków-Częstochowa.

This specific landmark with several others were given their names by Zygmunt Krasiński the year 1857 when while staying in Zloty Potok, he visited the area and named several of the local peculiarities.
