First Stop:

Coming here was part of the rafting tour .

It was the first stop after rafting and there was time given to spend it as each one liked but unfortunately not enough to have both lunch and pay a visit to the castle.

We did manage to have a very short stroll to the opposite side of the Castle before lunch, but we were delayed at the restaurant since service was poor.

The remaining time left was just for a few shots in a hurry on our way to the parking lot…not to mention that we were not totally sure where it was since we were dropped off much behind.

The Niedzica Castle is also known as "Dunajec" castle and is one of Poland's prime tourist
attraction . It towers over a large water reservoir with an impressive dam and an even more impressive and delightful view over the artificial lake.

It is still in great shape even though it lived in up through the 1940s.

Czorsztyn Castle:

Czorsztyn is across the lake on the less developed side. It seems much older and definitely with genuine historic feel compared to the Niedzica castle on the opposite side. Although preserved in ruins, it enjoys excellent views from its highest parts.

On warm sunny days the lake below is full of all kinds of water craft which depart from the little jetty just north from castle on regular basis. (Every 15 minutes)
