Four Seasons Hotel and the Tropical Garden

Limassol, Cyprus

With leady heart I am leaving the Four Seasons Hotel today for another hotel before flying back home . Just two more days on the island, and once again I have a lot to do.

I am up early trying to savor the pure tranquility of the moment, watching the beautiful coastline and the tropical gardens below. It is beginning to dawn and it is peace and quiet all over the place - I guess everyone else is still sleeping! Unfortunately my room does not overlook the east so I cannot watch the beautiful sunrise. One of the things I plan to do later on is to walk through the beautiful tropical gardens for some pictures.

I come down to the reception before breakfast and tell one of the ladies that I am checking out today. Without asking for any favor the lady tells me that she can arrange that I leave at 3:00 in the afternoon, and she even changes the time on my key. At first I loved the idea as it was indeed a nice gesture, something that you hardly find in other hotels, so I let her add more time on my key . Happy as I was with this gesture I forgot that I had many things to do during the day and surely I had to leave before 3 p.m. In the meantime I have not as yet done anything with my packing but of course as always I leave this for the very last moment. Of course I just need 8 minutes to pack, not more because I carry the lightest luggage ever, -a luggage of less than 12 kilos!

I am enjoying my early breakfast with the company of a young couple sitting next to me when I receive a phone call from the other hotel informing me that my suite is ready and I am welcome to go anytime I wish. I have one more appointment before leaving and I also want to take some photos of the garden and spend time checking on my e mails before leaving. Internet is free at the lobby area and I decide to dedicate at least an hour with my contacts and mail.

The lobby area is so beautiful and comfortable so why not!

One of the benefits of living in a warm climate is that you can grow a tropical garden. One such is in the premises of the Four Seasons hotel with vibrant flowers that draw the attention. The Koi Lagoon in front of the Vivaldi Italian Restaurant is surrounded by tropical flowers, with huge colorful goldfish in the waters creating this tropical atmosphere.

I return to my room when I finished my mini errantry to the garden, and pack everything in minutes. I have one more hour before the meeting so I get down in the lobby to check my e mails. I leave the hotel at 12:30 p.m after the meeting is over, and I head towards the other hotel.
