The Marina in Latchi

On our way back from Kritou Tera we see the beautiful sunset and we make a short stop for a stroll at the marina in Latchi . This picturesque tranquil fishing village stretches 3 kms along the northwest coast of Cyprus and lies on the edge of the Akamas National Park.

My dream is to see Akamas National park probably this coming spring when nature is in bloom.

In the meantime I am here now and the only thing I can do is to enjoy this late afternoon walk with my cousin and take some pictures. Boat trips sail daily from Latchi around the peninsular, offering the opportunity to see shipwrecks and enjoy the beautiful coast with awesome views. This beautiful fishing village is surrounded by lush green countryside with several sandy beaches like the one at the Baths of Aphrodite.

The marina is really beautiful, and some of the stone Carob warehouses of the past have been converted into restaurants selling fresh fish and local dishes. Of course fish tavernas are again expensive here, but if you truly decide to have fresh fish you will have to pay for it!

Rossport, when are you going to catch a really BIG fish? Try for a whale next time!

We both ought to save up and take a trip around Greece and Cyprus with Popi and Yanni.
