A message from Kharkiv, Ukraine

West End Village, Roatan, Honduras, Bay Islands Department, Honduras
We wrote to our young friends Dennis and Christine, who live in Kharkiv, Ukraine, to see how they were holding up. This was their response:
.
“Just a heads up for everyone who may be concerned.
I'm extremely grateful for all kind words, thoughts and concerns I've received in the last few days from all friends, colleagues and people who barely know me đŸ™‚
Our family situation is reasonably stable right now, kids are fine and don't need anything that we can't take care of.
However, y'all can still help by sharing the invasion information as loudly and publicly as you can. Please do so yourself and ask your friends to get and spread as much real verifiable info as you can so that the world knows what's really happening.
Please call your representatives and politicians and demand that they start acting on their own calls to help Ukraine as a country. We're fighting alright, but we still can use all the help we can get. We need arms, ammunition, food and fuel. We need medical and refugee assistance. We need political pressure on the Russians to get the fuck out of Ukraine. Really anything that would end this crap and we can all get back to fucking worry about the next jerk not wearing a mask.
Thank you all and God bless you. United we stand!
Слава Україні! đŸ‡şđŸ‡Ś
My city. Bitches , I hate them ! I will not forgive !”

Thanks for reminding us of the personal side of this crisis when so much in the media has been about the politics.

Thanks for sharing guys, Canadians are grateful for our prime minister and all that he is doing to help the people of Ukraine, I for one, retweet everything I can to spread the need for help, prayers, assistance and our support as a country. It helps to burry the shame of the sissy truck drivers partying on the streets of our capital all the while traumatizing seniors, and others living in the area. BTW I use the term "sissy" as a courtesy to you and Elanka. Stay safe,

Hi Jack, we are watching the events in Ukraine and the UK people stand shoulder to shoulder with them. Putin is a nutcase and no better than Hitler. The UK government are very proactive in supporting the government and people of Ukraine and will continue to do so. Thank you for sharing your stories. Best wishes. Jay & Soni

Thanks for the share Jack Unfortunately the current UK government party are awash with donations from Russian oligarchs and perhaps this is why we have sanctioned far less of them than the rest of Europe. I despair.
