I really didn't want to leave Paris...I just love it.
As much as I left kicking and screaming (ok
..I didn't do that)... we had the best Uber driver take us to the train station. He used to be a tour guide and in the 45 mins it took to get through rush hour traffic, we learned so much about Paris. BTW... their rush hour was after 10:00 am. I guess their day starts later than back home. Between all that we saw and did while in Paris and the contagious excitement our driver conveyed to us....we are coming back to Paris someday. And next time we'll stay longer.
So we boarded our high speed train to Provence...and high speed it was...top speed was 187 mph. I told Dave NASCAR didn't have anything on Europe's high speed trains and then he reminded me that NASCAR drivers go over 200 mph. Yeah, but do they get to take a nap while going that fast...I don't think so.
After getting off the train, we needed to take a bus and then a taxi to our B&B. Checked in and then walked down a street called the Cours Mirabeau Blvd which has a lot of shops and sidewalk cafes. We had dinner at an Irish pub in France (where else would we eat in Provence. lol)
Since lavendar fields in Provence don"t start blooming until July, we spent almost 2 days just exploring the town on foot. A lot of cobblestone and narrow streets.
Tomorrow we board another train for Nice and spend 4 days exploring Nice, Cannes and Monaco.
Provence is very quaint...

Wonderful pics! Too bad you won't see the lavender fields! Beautiful countryside! I hope their new leader protects and preserves the French way of life and against those who try to harm it or their residents and visitors against them. Viva la France!
